The title above is certainly not a very real sense, "Breed The King" is a phrase for freshwater fish named Symphysodon or better known as Discus. Discus is a type of fish that live in fresh water. Discus the origin comes from the South American mainland in the Amazon River. Discus word itself comes from the disc, because this fish has a round shape like a disc. Along the river's diverse life Discus wild species that have exotic colors and charming. Therefore Discus gestures have a calm and graceful, and has a charisma that is hard to describe with words, the Discus is often referred to as The King of Freshwater Fish. Many variations of Discus in the world, all colors and shades almost there, because the hybridization results of different types. Except maybe black Discus. I've found it at a time, when my Discus was Sick. But, not closed the possibility, that one day there will be a kind of Black Discus with Red Colored eyes,,, so cool right?
Water temperature
Discus usually live in water that has a water temperature of 26 - 30 degrees Celsius, they rarely stand in the cold. So if you are in areas that have cold temperatures, and want to keep Discus, you must set up an automatic heater that can set the temperature.
If you keep Discus outdoors, you should give the heater in the tank, because the temperature outside is very easy to change and different, especially during the rainy season. Temperatures are warm and stable, allowing Discus can grow well and will give satisfaction to the owner.
Changing Water
Changing the water is usually done every day to drain feces Discus. These things absolutely must be done by you as the owner. I normally change the water as much as 20% every day, and on Sunday I change the water as much as 80%. If you want to change the water, you should pay attention when the water temperature before it is replaced, try the temperature at which water is added the same or slightly warmer. Because the water from my well is less oxygen, so if I would change the water, the mining of all I would enlarge the bubbles of oxygen from the water pump, so that the incoming water will get enough oxygen, so that Discus are not starved of oxygen for breathing.
PH
PH is the acidity of water, usually ranging between 0 - 14. Discus are usually able to live at Neutral pH is 6.8 - 7.2. I use water directly from wells and never measure the pH of the water. But perhaps because it is used, then my Discus remain in good health.
Food
Food for Discus that I use is frozen blood worms and Tetrabits, special products for Discus. Discus feeding enough 3 times a day. Most feed Dsicus will cause stomach to be bloated and difficult to digest and will certainly make Discus difficult to defecate.
